Question: What is the wifi range on this trail camera ?
Answer: I used it in Yosemite to see animals outside the tent at night. It uses bluetooth and wifi. You have to connect through bluetooth with a range of 30'-40', then turn on the wifi. I estimate about 200' line of site. However, the images are visible as a thumbnail and have to be downloaded to see them bigger. This can take some time the further you are. Within 30' this is fairly quick. We didn't see any furry animals, but caught the kids in the camp next to us, throwing pine cones at our tent in the am.
Question: Does the camera have to be close to wifi connection in the woods or does the phone need to be in wifi range?
Answer: Phone needs to be in range. You have to push the wifi button on camera to connect to phone. Basically it's a way to transfer pics to your phone without taking out the card. You can control settings on camera from phone.
Question: Is the app available on ios and android?
Answer: Yes, the app is available on both IOS and Android.
Question: How do you change the wifi password of the camera?
Answer: You need connect the phone and use the phone app setting to change the wifi password.
Question: Is there a remote control with this?
Answer: You can connect Bluetooth to control the camera WIFI turn on/off, needn't to use a remote.
