Answer: You have to, unless you have charger for that SPECIFIC battery type. Also, directions say remove battery when not in use.

Answer: This action cam take 20MP Photo and 4K video, I have to say it's really clear.

Answer: I have not tried anything larger than 64gb. That is what was recommended in the description.

Answer: Yes. It comes with several mounts. My bike has large handlebars and it does not fit them unfortunately, but that would be the case for any camera mount that comes with any camera.

Question: Camera won't recognize memory card, bought a new one and still the same. What can I do.
Answer: I am in the same boat, I can not find a SD card that will work. It only fits if I put it in upside down and I am having not luck with this. All the TF cards are built the same with the groves on the right but this one requires one with the groves on the left and there are none to be found. I would really love to find this cause it will not work without it.

Question: Is there a tripod socket (1/4-20) on the bottom of the camera? Not the waterproof case.
Answer: No. There is on a bracket that you can snap the camera into. The problem is you can't see the indicator lights, or the section of the screen that displays settings, while the camera is snapped in the bracket. I intend to try to modify the bracket with a Dremel tool. I can never tell if I've started recording, or just awakened the camera, after pressing remote start. I'm often starting the camera when I think I'm stopping it, after having missed what I intended to record.

Answer: Absolutely, this underwatercamera come with waterproofcase and I have just used it underwater few times, the waterproofcase sealed perfectly.

Question: Can you switch the action camera from video to photo mode while under water or do you have to ope the case to do that.
Answer: You can switch on the fly. There's a button on the front of the case that allows you to switch between modes. It's sweet.

Answer: It has its own wifi signal that phones, tablets, and computers can connect to. It will not connect to your wifi router in your home.

Question: Just received this and it won't let me select any video other than 1080p@30fps. is there a way to fix this so i can shoot in 4k like i bought it for?
Answer: Perhaps not exactly what you were asking about but it's important that you buy a memory card which is at least Class 10. It's better to go with a Class 10. This has to do with the speed the memory card can store and read data. If the card is too slow, the camera wont perform well at all; it will seem like absolute garbage, but with the right memory card it will work just fine. And of course remember to format it in the camera.

Question: Does this action camera use battery life while not recording? is it easy to turn it on and off when you want to record?
Answer: Like any battery, it will discharge slowly on its own but the camera does not technically use power when it is off. This waterproof action camera is easily powered on and off by the button on the front.
