1. Keep the footage stable
Shooting underwater can be unpredictable, try and keep the camera still by using a tripod or mounting it onto a selfie stick. Maintain a healthy distance from the subject being shot. Unless you are aiming for a macro shot, the camera should always be 12 inches away from the focused subject. Any distance less than that will make the images and video footage blurry. 2. Use the correct filter

Even if you don’t plan to shoot in slow motion keep the rate at 60fps so when you are editing the video you have the freedom to slow things down without affecting the quality of the video. 4. Maintain a story
Ideate on what sort of story you want to present to the world, make a rough storyline and stick to it. Keep the camera rolling underwater for multiple angled shots, later when you are done you can edit out the parts you do not want to show in your story.
